What to expect

As a dairy technologist, you will be responsible for milk collection and reception. You will monitor the production processes for our dairy products, such as cheese, yoghurt and desserts, as well as butter and whey powder. Operating the technical equipment, carrying out quality controls and ensuring the production facilities are cleaned to the required standards will also form part of your role. To this end, you will also gain knowledge of food law, hygiene regulations, and health and safety and environmental protection.

1. At least a good secondary school leaving certificate
2. Good understanding of biochemistry and technical matters
3. Manual dexterity
4. Awareness of hygiene and a responsible approach to work
5. Good sense of smell and taste
6. An interest in chemistry, physics and mathematics
7. Enjoyment of working with milk as a raw material
